Due to Covid 19 concerns, the OAS will be cancelling the official summer star parties up at Hurricane Ridge. The Ridge will be open and the Dark Ranger, John Goar, will still be up there so feel free to take advantage if you feel so inclined. See his website olympictelescope.com for schedules and updates.
In the meantime, remember that we all can still do some observing from our backyards or other private places! There are so many things to see, especially Comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE! Right now it is viewable early in the morning but coming July 15th or so, you should be able to see it naked eye in the evening in the extreme north. A good site to find more information is https://earthsky.org/space/how-to-see-comet-c2020-f3-neowise. The beautiful picture below of the Comet and Mount Baker is by our friend, Ron Mosher, of the Everett Astronomical Society! Congratulations on this beauty Ron!
