LUNAR ECLIPSE INFORMATION FOR JANUARY 20TH

There has been much talk about the Total Lunar Eclipse this January.  Most of the talk is saying it is on January 21st.  Please note that this is UNIVERSAL time.  For us in the Pacific Time Zone, the eclipse will happen on Sunday, January 20th.  So look to the East at the following Pacific Standard times:

  • Penumbral start:  6:37 PM
  • Umbral start:  7:34 PM (best time to start looking)
  • Totality start:  8:41 PM
  • Greatest Eclipse:  9:12 PM
  • Totality end:  9:43 PM
  • Umbral end: 10:51 PM
  • Penumbral end: 11:48 PM
