December Meeting Recap and the Holiday Potluck

Thanks to all who showed up at the meeting Monday.  Due to the fact that our presenter wasn’t able to make it, we had a somewhat impromptu meeting, but it went quite well.  We talked about finding dim objects in the night sky and how to use star charts.  John helped by talking about the Astronomical League clubs he is the coordinator of which led to a lively discussion about asteroids; and then we ended with a short talk about Double Stars.  I appreciated everyone’s encouragement and look forward to seeing you all in January.

Please note:  there has been some confusion about the holiday potluck.  It is this Sunday, the 13th, at the same site we had it at last year, please check your newsletter for more detailed information.   You can show up by around 5:30, eating commences at 6!  Hope to see you there!
